A Bit About Me
I was born in London, England, and emigrated to Israel in 1966, joining Kibbutz Hasolelim in the Lower Galilee. In 1970, after completing my regular army service in the Nahal Paratroopers, I left the kibbutz and moved to Jerusalem with my future wife. There, I worked as a graphic designer until 2011.
After the passing of my beloved wife Sarit in 2014, following her battle with cancer, my children gifted me an easel and some canvases—along with a gentle but firm instruction to start painting.
I began studying under artist and teacher Becky Mevorach. Since then, I have completed more than 200 oil paintings.
I work primarily in oils on canvas, focusing on realism. Recently, I’ve started exploring a more expressive approach, experimenting with palette knives and stepping outside the bounds of traditional technique.
In 2018, I moved to the beautiful city of Modiin, where I established my studio. There, I continue to paint and teach private oil painting lessons for beginners.
I also accept commissions—primarily portraits of loved ones and pets.
נולדתי בלונדון, אנגליה, ועליתי לישראל בשנת 1966 והצטרפתי לקיבוץ הסוללים התחתון. בשנת 1970, לאחר שסיימתי את שירותי הצבאי בנח"ל מוצנח, עזבתי את הקיבוץ ועברתי לירושלים עם זוגתי לעתיד. שם עבדתי כמעצב גרפי עד שנת 2011.
לאחר פטירתה של רעייתי האהובה שרית בשנת 2014, בעקבות מאבק במחלת הסרטן, קיבלתי מילדיי כן ציור וכמה קנבסים – יחד עם הוראה ברורה להתחיל לצייר.
התחלתי ללמוד אצל האמנית והמורה בקי מבורך, ומאז השלמתי למעלה מ-200 ציורים.
אני עובד בעיקר בצבעי שמן על קנבס, ומתמקד בריאליזם. לאחרונה התחלתי להתנסות גם בגישות חופשיות יותר, תוך שימוש בסכיני פלטה ויציאה מגבולות הסגנון המסורתי.
בשנת 2018 עברתי לעיר היפה מודיעין, שם הקמתי את הסטודיו שלי. כיום אני ממשיך לצייר ומלמד ציור בשמן בשיעורים פרטיים למתחילים.
אני מקבל גם עבודות מוזמנות – בעיקר דיוקנאות של אנשים אהובים וחיות מחמד.
